Greenwood Invites Residents to Local Coffee Shop to Discuss State Issues

East St. Louis, Ill. - State Rep. LaToya Greenwood, D-East St. Louis, will be hosting her first Coffee Shop Stop on Saturday, March 4 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Sweet Katie Bee’s Organic Café and Cupcake Bar located at 212 E State St, in O’Fallon.

“Sitting down to talk with individuals from my district is the best way to better understand the needs of the residents in my district,” said Greenwood. “Listening to the concerns that people have to share with me is important so that I can support legislation in Springfield that helps them.”

Greenwood hopes that neighbors will join her and bring ideas to improve the area. She will have updates about legislation that she is supporting, and she looks forward to sharing her experience thus far as state representative. Greenwood will be hosting similar events throughout the district.

“I am looking forward to meeting with residents to answer their questions,” said Greenwood. “It is my hope that the conversations had during our time at the coffee shop will carry on to make a difference for the everyday lives of those living in the neighborhoods I represent.”
