PEORIA, Ill. – In recognition of Credit Education Month, state Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth, D-Peoria, will host a “Rebuilding Your Credit Score” seminar on Monday, March 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Peoria Public Library – Lincoln Branch, located at 1312 Lincoln Ave. in the Hot Air Balloon Room.
“Having good credit makes it easier to purchase or rent a home, buy a car and help your child go to college,” said Gordon-Booth. “There are small actions you can take to improve your credit score, but learning about this process can be overwhelming without help.”
Professionals from Chestnut Credit will be available to answer questions and provide advice to guests about improving their credit score. Attendees should come prepared with their credit reports, which can be obtained for free by calling 877-322-8228 or visitingannualcreditreport.com.
To RSVP for this event, please contact Gordon-Booth’s full-time constituent service office at 309-681-1992 or emailrepjgordon@gmail.com.
